  • What can I do with a history major?

    Local chapter of the national History honors society with academic and social goals.
  • Starting salaries by major
    In 1995, offers for history majors averaged more than $25,000 per year. Now offers are averaging more than $30,000. Would you like to see how that compares to business and other social science degrees? Another interesting site, Student Review, not only looks at starting salaries but analyzes survey data to determine how much majors in various disciplines are earning once they have been out of college for several years. The answers may surprise you.

    This service allows students to check grade reports, class schedules, parking violations (you don't really have violations, just misunderstandings), and other official info. Students can also get their own degree audits. It's fast and useful, but you need a PIN

  • Demand for Teachers
    Teacher demand is up in the region with a balance between the supply of new Social Science teachers and job openings. However, we are placing all of our graduates!

    Departmental scholarship funds have grown considerably during the last few years. History majors should apply for all that are appropriate.
